Self-Discipline - What is self-discipline?

Self-discipline is when you are your own trainer, you are your own teacher, you are your own coach.  You are the one that controls what you do.  With self-discipline it is possible to achieve the things you want to achieve.


In the word self-discipline, the word discipline comes from the word disciple, which means to teach.  So self-discipline is to teach yourself.  If you have self-discipline, you have the ability to control yourself.


Self-discipline says I take responsibility for myself.  When you plan, set goals, self-discipline tells us that we have the ability to get it done.  Self- Discipline gives you the ability to accomplish your goals.

How can you develop self-discipline?

  1. 1.You got to want it, to discipline yourself.

  2. 2.Plan for it.  If you don’t plan for self-discipline, you will never get there.  It is easy not to do it.

  3. 3.Act on it.  It is about what you do.  Actions become habits, habits become a lifestyle. Want it, Plan for it, Do it
